Personal Statement
I have been playing competitive golf since I was six years old. Living in the Vail area, I played golf in the summer and was a competitive ski racer in the winter. I competed in US junior ski racing and was the U12 girls’ Rocky Mountain Regional Champion. At this time, despite my success in junior golf, I decided to pursue ski racing full time.
At the end of my 8th grade year when my family relocated to the Denver area, I decided to join my high school golf team and fell back in love with the sport. Although I had taken a break from golf, I quickly picked up where I left off, besting my previous low-round score in a matter of months.
Golf requires hard work and commitment to excel, and I believe my best golf still lies ahead. I am driven to continually improve my game. I thrive in a team setting and competition brings out the best in me, especially when a championship or title is on the line. I look forward to the opportunity to meet new friends, to travel and contribute to the success of a collegiate golf program.
