Becoming a successful Tour player has been a dream of mine since I started playing golf at 7 years old. The dream has never gone away, and I have dedicated the majority of my time to the sport throughout the years. I moved to Spain and switched to home schooling 5 years ago to give myself more opportunities to improve as a golfer and athlete since the facilities in my home country, Latvia, were restraining the development. Since then, I have also started working with a coach from Sweden, and even spent the summer months there the last 2 years. However, I have always made sure that my academics are on track, too. This fact solidifies my belief that college golf is the best path forward.
