Becoming a successful Tour player has been a dream of mine since I started playing golf at 7 years old. The dream has never gone away, and I have dedicated the majority of my time to the sport throughout the years. I moved to Spain and switched to home schooling 5 years ago to give myself more opportunities to improve as a golfer and athlete since the facilities in my home country, Latvia, were restraining the development. Since then, I have also started working with a coach from Sweden, and even spent the summer months there the last 2 years. However, I have always made sure that my academics are on track, too.

I have been really struggling with my mental game in 2021 and 2022 but have learned to embrace the challenge and navigate through it.
I am an open and friendly person which makes me a good team player. I make connections easily, and always try to make sure that people around me are doing well. In fact, I perform better and grow as a person and a golfer with a group of teammates around me. This fact solidifies my belief that college golf is the best path forward.

• Winning this year’s national championship in a playoff;
• Winning this year’s club championship in Sweden in tough weather conditions;
• Finishing as the best Latvian at this year’s European boys’ team championship division 2 in the qualification rounds, then winning both matches the following two days;
• Winning Latvian national championship in 2020 at the age of 14, becoming the youngest winner of the competition.
