Personal Statement
Since I could walk, I’ve been playing golf. And since I was old enough to think about it, I’ve known that on Tour is where I want to be. And there is simply nothing better in the world than College in the US to do so. I understand that this is no easy feat, and will not come without countless hours of hard work and dedication to this end goal. I also understand that while golf may take some of the spotlight, academics are vital to me and my family, and key to success in later life. I am extremely looking forward to experiencing a new culture and way of life in the US, gaining new friends for life, and travelling around the country and perhaps further doing what I love. Being part of such a close knit team is also amazing, and team events, especially Match Play, seem to bring out the best in me. I am very prepared for the amount of hard work that it will take for me to get where I want to be, and am ready to take advice from peers and coaches to get there. I want to be able to look back on my time in College, and say I truly couldn’t have got any more out of it, rather than regretting not taking every opportunity I am offered.
