Personal Statement
I have always been a keen sportsman, playing to a high standard in sports such as football, cricket, tennis and squash. I was 8 when I was introduced to golf however, I only really started playing in August 2023.
I have since then immersed myself into golf and have developed a real passion for this great sport. From an estimated handicap of 24, I have achieved a handicap of 5.7 in just one year.
In my strive to optimise my performance in golf, I dedicate much time and effort in trying to achieve the perfect coordination between technique, skill, physical fitness and mental focus. I have lessons, play comps, work-out and watch golf on YouTube to help me improve. My inspirations are Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau and Tommy Fleetwood.
Although Golf is my priority, I am also determined to achieve high results academically, as I think that a good balance in life is important.
I love being a team player and am currently Captain of my school’s Golf team where I can lead others and help them improve.
I would love to have the opportunity to join a College in the U.S with their reputation for academic discipline, sporting excellence, teamwork and community spirit.
My aim for the future is to have a career in golf. Its breadth of positions would allow me to create a career path that best matches my talent, abilities and interests.
