Personal Statement
Ever since I was a young girl and my Dad placed my first US kids club in my hand, I wanted golf to be a major part of my life. The dream is to attend an Ivy League college to further both my academic and golfing aspirations, but if not the best colleges in the US a division 1/2 golf college that can help me achieve my goals. I am passionate about the future of golf and the importance to get kids involved in the game as early as possible. I was inspired by Tiger Woods, but only when I started to play did I begin to realize just how elitist this sport can be, even at a local level. I would like to help break down the barriers that restrict kids from playing and inspire the next generation of young mixed-race girls to be able to enjoy this wonderful game, without enduring the struggles that I went through playing competitively. I am terribly excited about experiencing new cultures, meeting new friends and being part of a successful college team and can’t wait to start this next chapter of my life.
