Personal Statement
College golf has always been a dream of mine and the success I have achieved in the first 2 years of playing competitively has given me the drive and ambition to pursue this reality. During my GCSEs I demonstrated great commitment to my studies whilst continuing to play competitively, showcasing discipline, hard work, and ability – not just on the golf course. This allowed me to succeed as an accomplished student ready for my next chapter ahead. College golf is my opportunity to pursue a career in professional golf, whilst furthering my education and gaining invaluable life experience.
I understand and am prepared for the hard work, commitment and dedication required. I look forward to this challenge to get to the next level. Throughout my junior and high school years I have thrived in team and individual sport. I have learned from this experience that it is important to have self-discipline but also truly believe that surrounding myself with like-minded competitors, where we can drive and elevate each other to achieve success, brings out the best in me. I’m excited about experiencing a new culture, meeting new friends, travelling, and getting as much out of collegiate golf as possible.
