Personal Statement

I started playing competitive golf at 6 years old and have enjoyed playing in team and individual competitions ever since. I grew up learning how to play in Scotland on a very challenging course called North Berwick, which is a famous links course that demands versatility and high level shot making to navigate the course. Being in Scotland the weather is always challenging, this provided me a unique opportunity to build my skillsets (swing, shots, course management, mentality, emotional control and adaptability) to overcome the demands and challenges created naturally to courses daily.

I have already had a lot of success at the junior game and am determined to keep winning as I progress to College and compete at the elite collegiate level. I am excited to join a US collegiate program, as playing US college golf on a highly competitive platform for 4 years will enable me to continue growing and developing both on and off the course. I am driven to push myself each and everyday to help the team succeed and I know being part of a quality team is the best way for me to realize my ambitions after college in becoming a successful LPGA professional.

I was honored to be offered a scholarship to Albany Academy and Windsor School in the Bahamas in late 2021 and accepted the offer to take advantage of being coached and mentored by Jon Hearn and his team, whilst receiving a first class education. The Academy has been purposely designed to operate like a collegiate program, which has enabled me to get a taste of what it is like to be part of a team environment at an establishment with collegiate schedules and structures.

Moving to Albany from Scotland for both school and golf has made me more independent and given me extraordinary life experiences.

I know I will be fully prepared and ready for my next step and I will continue to push myself over the next 2 years both on and off the course to further improve.

I look forward to continuing my golfing, social, and academic development at college in 2025.
