Personal Statement
Throughout my life, I have been a keen sportswoman, playing golf, tennis, netball and cricket.
Playing competitive sport has taught me many life skills including discipline, respect and teamwork, attributes I believe will serve me well in the future.
My passion for golf began when I was 12 years old and I have been inspired by many top golfers including Georgia Hall, Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth, although I do believe that women’s golf needs more inspirational figures and I would like to be a role model for girls’ golf.
Although golf is my priority, I realise that achieving an academic qualification is also important to me and it seems logical for me to pursue a career which is sports related as this is what I enjoy.
I am currently studying a BTEC extended diploma in Sport and my favourite module so far has been psychology. I am very interested in what makes people unique and how the mental conscience could affect an individuals thinking.
To attend a University in America and be part of collegiate golf would be an amazing experience and I am prepared to work hard to ensure I achieve my goals.
