Personal Statement
I am a 17-year-old student from the North East of England with a passion for both golf and aviation. I started playing golf when I was six years old, and it has been a big part of my life ever since. Although I have always enjoyed the sport and competing, I have not yet decided whether I want to pursue a career in golf or become an airline pilot. Because of this, I want to keep both options open for as long as possible. After finishing Sixth Form, I would like the opportunity to study at an American college. It would allow me to continue playing competitive golf while also working towards a potential long-term goal of becoming a commercial airline pilot. I feel that this is the best way to continue developing both academically and athletically, while also gaining valuable life experiences. Earning a degree is important to me because it would provide a strong foundation for my future and give me another career option if neither career works out. My aim is to make the most of every opportunity available to me so that I am in the best possible position to achieve my goals.
