Personal Statement
Having made the switch from top level hockey to golf 2 years ago, golf has become a central part of my life. Despite my relatively short time in the sport I’ve made significant progress, training and playing tournaments throughout my gap year. I am currently extending my gap year, continuing to train almost daily and expect to be scoring regularly under 75 throughout next season. With a current handicap of 0.9, I am committed to reaching new heights in my game, with the ultimate goal of playing professionally.
A Junior College golf scholarship is the next step in my journey. It would give me the opportunity to compete at a higher level, learn from experienced coaches, and be part of a supportive team while getting an education. I thrive in new environments, embracing diverse cultures, making new friends, and contributing positively to any team I’m part of. I see this as a key opportunity to grow as both a player and a person.
I am always eager to learn and constantly seek ways to improve—not only as a golfer, but also as a leader and a teammate. I am dedicated to working hard and proving myself. A scholarship would provide the experience and development I need to reach my goal of playing on the professional tour, and I’m ready to put in the effort required to achieve it.
