Personal Statement
My ultimate goal is to turn professional and play on the LPGA tour. I realise that my dream is in a very competitive sector, which is why I believe gaining a degree is very important, as a backup plan is needed. I think the best way of combining these two ambitions is to study at a Division 1 university in the US. Over the course of the last six months I have made significant progress in both my studies and my golf, which shows me that I can balance studying for my GCSEs and preparing for an important golf season. I think that by going to university on a golf scholarship I will be able to improve my golf substantially as I thrive in competitive situations. This will also be the case for my studies, where I would like to focus my attention on sport and nutrition. These are both topics I am passionate about, and could offer a rewarding career alternative if I decide not to turn professional.
